Honestly, there isn’t a bad time to visit Norfolk. Warm springs and falls make exploring the outdoors enjoyable, while hot summers make for the perfect beach vacation. Norfolk has mild winters, so frostbitten noses are never a concern.

What’s the weather like in Norfolk, VA?

Most days in Norfolk are mild, with an average annual high temperature of 68 degrees and an average annual low temperature of 51 degrees. Summer brings more heat and humidity, and we’ve been known to get a snowstorm from time to time in winter.

Yes, but they need to be leashed at all times and are not allowed on beaches from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seasonally, beginning the Saturday before Memorial Day through Labor Day.
